Why are you running for office?
I believe God granted me the gift of service, and serving the public in elected office has allowed me to put that gift to work for my community. I am running to continue this work serving the residents of Denton County with integrity, efficiency and a commitment to responsible stewardship.
What are the biggest challenges facing the district?
Denton County’s rapid growth is both our greatest opportunity and our biggest challenge. As one of the nation’s fastest-growing counties, we are faced with managing that expansion responsibly, building necessary infrastructure and creating the services to accommodate the growth while keeping Denton County affordable.
How do you plan to address these issues?
Building on my first-term results, I will invest in city and county infrastructure to reduce traffic congestion, promote economic development that creates high-paying jobs and eases taxpayers’ burden, and strengthen public safety and behavioral health services. I have advanced each of these priorities while reducing taxes every year.
What would your top priorities be if you are elected?
Reduce taxes: Continue lowering taxes each year I serve. Address affordability: Continue my work to lower costs, increase wages and fight inflation. Focus on public safety: Continue to improve police, fire and behavioral health services.
