A construction project along Flower Mound Road, located between Parkwood Drive and Arbor Creek Lane, is set to begin later this month, according to a news release.

Work crews for F&F Concrete Construction will shut down the outside lane for eastbound traffic Jan. 13, but the inside lane is expected to remain open, according to the town’s construction webpage. Construction was previously scheduled to start Jan. 6, but was delayed because of potential inclement weather, per the news release.

The overview

Construction includes lane reconstruction, repairs of the concrete road panels, storm drainage improvements and ADA accessibility enhancements, Melissa Demmitt, Flower Mound’s communications director, said in an email. The project is the fourth of six phases for Flower Mound Road construction.

The entire six-phase project has a budget of $2.3 million, financed by capital improvement project and dedicated sales tax funds.

Looking ahead

Construction on the fourth phase is expected to wrap up in early March, weather permitting, Demmitt said. The remaining two phases of the project should start in June after school ends and be completed by August.
