The dining district, which is now renamed River Walk Social, will be launching five new restaurants owned and operated by River Walk Food & Beverage, according to a news release. Official open dates for each location were not available as of press time.
Existing restaurants, including Scout and Primo’s MX Kitchen & Lounge, will continue to operate until the new concepts replace them, according to the news release.
“We feel these new restaurant concepts will really resonate with residents of Flower Mound and the surrounding areas,” said Greg Retz, CEO of RW F&B. “As we redefine River Walk Social, we are focused on creating the most exciting dining destination in the region and plan to become an integrated fixture in the community.”
Retz will host a series of private menu tasting experiences designed to fine-tune the menus for the soon-to-come new venues that invite area residents and diners to have a voice in the future of these restaurants, according to the release.
Listed below are five restaurants slated to open at River Walk Social.
1. Underdogs Burgers & Brew will be a family-focused sports bar, and it will feature an indoor and outdoor play area. It will offer burgers, sandwiches, wings, salads and an extensive kids’ menu.
2. Pennywise will be an English pub that will feature a European beer selection and cocktails. It will have a limited menu of English dishes, such as bangers and mash, steak and ale pie, fish and chips, and a Monte Cristo sandwich.
3. Pie Hole Pizza will be a brick oven pizza shop that will focus on pickup and delivery orders, though a dine-in option will be available. The restaurant will serve 14-inch pizzas along with sandwiches, salads, beer and wine.
4. Sugar Fix will be a coffee, gelato and mini-doughnut bar. It will offer cold brews, drop coffee and espresso drinks.
5. Whiskey and Smoke will be a smokehouse and bourbon bar with table service. Whiskey and Smoke will feature brisket, St. Louis-style ribs, pulled pork, chicken, smoked sausage and a range of side dishes.The bourbon bar will offer cocktails, including some that are smoked, and bourbon flights.
