The Back Nine Golf facility was approved by the Flower Mound Town Council on Oct. 21.

The details

The business will sit in the Prairie Plaza Building 4 located north of Cross Timbers Road and west of Long Prairie Road, according to town zoning documents. The space was originally zoned for office use, and the approved specific use permit allows the business to operate as an indoor, amusement recreation facility.

Zooming in

Back Nine Golf operates in 13 states, including Texas. It’s a membership-based indoor golf experience, offering golfers a place to practice their drive. The business will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and doesn’t require staff to be onsite. Members will get a bluetooth code they can scan at the door of the facility to be let in during their set time.

There will be four bays where golfers can practice. Aside from a vending machine, there is no onsite food or beverage service.
