The Sweet Shop held a soft opening March 21.

The business carries a large assortment of bulk candy as well as individually portioned candies and an assortment of chocolates.

Dustin Billings said when she and her husband, Tyler Billings, were deciding where to open The Sweet Shop, they determined their hometown was the perfect location.

“We live in Highland Village, and our kids attend school here,” Dustin Billings said. “We love this community and knew we wanted to have a store in Highland Village. Bowery Park seemed like the natural choice. It's in a great location with a lot of other phenomenal businesses.”
