At tonight's Grapevine-Colleyville ISD board of trustees meeting, members adopted a $172 million general operating budget, which is a $15 million increase from last year's budget.
Revenue for the general operating budget is $165.6 million, which leaves a deficit of $6.4 million. The deficit will be covered with the district's fund balance.
The general operating budget includes a 2 percent compensation adjustment for all district employees.
The budget also shows the district will be sending a $44 million recapture payment to the state, which is a $12 million increase from last year's $32 million recapture payment.
The debt service budget includes revenues of $51,317,150; expenditures of $50,746,289; and an increase to fund balance of $570,861.
