Collin County residents can apply for the Collin College Board of Trustees Place 7 position until 5 p.m. Aug. 14.

A search committee will review the applications and bring a recommendation to the Board at the September meeting.

Place 7 became available after longtime board member Tino Trujillo resigned from the position June 24. He had served since 1985.

The trustee appointed to Place 7 will serve the remainder of the term, which ends in May 2015. The position will then be up for election for a six-year term.
