Land Rover Frisco will add 43,024 square feet to the existing building.[/caption]

Frisco Planning and Zoning Commission approved a specific use permit tonight for the expansion of Land Rover Frisco on Preston Road.

The existing facility is 29,592 square feet, with a proposed addition of 43,024 square feet for a total 72,616-square-foot facility.

The overall facility will include improvements to the showroom, shop, car wash, services and parts departments. There will also be an addition of 493 inventory parking spaces and the exterior of the building will be renovated.

Residents located within 200 feet of the property were notified in January about the proposed development, and a meeting was held for concerns to be expressed regarding the project. City staff and project representatives were present. According to a staff report, only one resident attended the meeting and was supportive of the proposed development.
