What we reported SusieCakes opened its second Texas location on Oct. 29. The California-based bakery offers a variety of desserts made with natural ingredients.
The latest Every donation request the bakery has received since opening has been fulfilled. This location donated over $250 in gift certificates to school fundraising auctions and provided dessert for events.

2. City Surf Fitness
What we reported Owners Jim and London Fish opened City Surf Fitness on June 24. The studio offers seven 50-minute classes incorporating balance, yoga, barre, Pilates, cardio and strength training.
The latest The studio reduced its number of instructors to build strong relationships with members, and in October hired an on-site nutritionist.
What’s next The studio is looking to launch a heavyweight training class in 2017. The class is being tested at the Dallas studio.

3. MC Spa and Nail Bar
What we reported The Orlando, Florida-based spa and nail salon opened its first Texas location on July 14. The salon provides manicures, pedicures and spa and massage services.
The latest The salon opened a new location Dec. 2 in Frisco at 8845 Gary Burns Drive, Ste. 120.
What’s next MC Spa plans to expand in Texas with three more locations in Allen, Houston and Fort Worth, which are expected to open by the end of 2017.

4. Yeager Office suites of Plano
What we reported Indiana-based developer Yeager Properties opened in Plano on Oct. 1. The 45,000-square-foot building has 167 suites, five conference rooms, two courtyards, four soundproof phone booths and more than 8,000 square feet for retail space.
The latest Dough Society, a pizza restaurant, will open in March, occupying part of the retail space at Yeager Office Suites of Plano. Red Door Escape Room will occupy the remaining retail space and is expected to open in May.
What’s next By April, building occupancy is expected to be at 100 percent, Building Manager Sheena Cook said.
