Brazos County approves tax agreement for $700M RELLIS data center project
County commissioners approved an updated tax agreement Aug. 18 for a planned $700 million data and research center at A&M-RELLIS. Under the updated agreement, Brazos County will receive taxes on 50% of the property’s taxable value for the first 10 years of a 40-year agreement. The land was previously not subject to county property taxes, according to commissioners.

Potential I-14 routes take shape as TxDOT seeks public feedback in Bryan
Potential routes for the proposed Interstate 14 project through the Bryan-College Station area are taking shape as the Texas Department of Transportation enters the third step in phase one of its long-term study and begins narrowing down where the interstate could eventually go. TxDOT presented the potential routes Aug. 18 at Legends Events Center in Bryan during one of several open house events about how the project could impact homes, farms, businesses and the environment.
