Bryan and College Station voters will have several local races to consider this November, following the closure of candidate filings Aug. 17. Both cities will have several city council members and a mayor to vote in.
On the Bryan ballot
In Bryan, these candidates will appear:
- Mayor
- Rafael D. Pena III
- Bobby Gutierrez (incumbent)
- District 1
- Chris Scotti
- Paul Torres (incumbent)
- District 2
- Chrissy Ransome
- Jeannette Stewart Moseley
- Ray Arrington (incumbent)
Bryan voters will also see a city charter amendment on their ballots.
More than 2,400 Bryan residents petitioned the city to remove Texas Avenue medians, citing traffic congestion and emergency response time concerns. However, the city warned the proposed charter amendment could face legal challenges if approved by voters.
On the College Station ballot
In College Station, these candidates will appear:

An unexpired term for College Station City Council Place 5 was opened when sitting Council member Yancy filed to run for mayor. The filing period for this race remains open until 6 p.m. Aug. 20.
