Dripping Springs community members can share feedback about the city’s parks and recreation activities at an open house event May 8 at Dripping Springs Ranch Park, 1042 Event Center Drive, Dripping Springs.

The open house is a come-and-go event from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The details

Community members will be given the opportunity to provide input on the future of Dripping Springs’ parks and recreation, including the future proposed parks, Arrowhead Park and Rathgeber Natural Resources Park.

Feedback from the open house will be used to develop the city’s comprehensive Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan for 2024-2034, city staff said. The long-range master plan will include details about park improvements and developments, educational programming opportunities and more.

The Parks and Community Services Department previously hosted community engagement events in January and April during the Founders Day Festival. A survey was also distributed for community members to fill out.

Participants who took part in previous engagement opportunities were able to share what they would like to see at different parks, such as pickleball, lighting, equestrian resources and general park improvements. Participants were also invited to learn about the parks and recreation system, and share their city policy and environmental conservation values.
