The Rathgeber Natural Resource Park, which will be located adjacent to the Headwaters Subdivision, is a future park that the city of Dripping Springs is currently in the planning stages for.

The park was a 300-acre land donation to the city from Austin developer and philanthropist Dick Rathgeber and the Rathgeber Investment Company. It is currently not open to the public.

City officials will begin outreach regarding the park and its future with the first public meeting Dec. 14 from 6:30-8 p.m. at City Hall, 511 Mercer St., Dripping Springs.

Future opportunities that city officials will take to engage with the public include a stakeholder workshop in March, Founders Day in April and a second public meeting in May. This outreach will lead up to a presentation of the vision for the park in June to the Parks and Recreation Commission and City Council.
