Dripping Springs ISD officials continue to seek input from the community with the launch of a survey as the process of designing a new high school proceeds.

The gist

An online survey will be available until Feb. 23. The questionnaire asks for the responder’s opinion on topics, such as the importance of the arts and athletics, the inclusion of collaborative spaces, and fiscal responsibility of the district.

The second high school will accommodate 2,500 students off Darden Hill Road.

The context

Dripping Springs voters approved funding for the design of the new school in May, with the passing of the $223.7 million bond. The district will likely approach voters with another bond to fund construction of the facility.

The need for another high school is due to rapid growth in the district.
