City Council selected the low bid for the project by DigDug Construction LLC of $320,170, and a final contract will return to council for approval in April. Once a contract is finalized, construction on the three-month project can begin, according to city staff.
The rejected bid for the project of $333,770 was submitted by Ground Exchange LLC. Both bids were higher than the city’s project estimate of $289,739.
The project will include excavation of the channel at the dam and removal of excavated materials as well as erosion-control techniques and work on the dam’s embankment, according to city documents.
