Kyle-based Money’s PlayHouse will soon open its first brick-and-mortar daycare in South Austin.

Money's PlayHouse is owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Marvin and Madeline Mack out of their home near Lehman High School in Kyle. Mack said they began babysitting during the pandemic and eventually became a full-time licensed childcare home business.

Money’s PlayHouse has full-time drop-in care for infants up to three years old. Mack said they can only accept 12 children at a time in their home, but the new daycare will have seven or eight small classrooms with teachers for each age group. It will still be an intimate care setting, she said.

The new daycare will not have a kitchen, Mack said, so parents will have to pack those items with their children.
