The business announced the closure on social media Jan. 13.
Trudy's South Star, off Little Texas Lane, closed in May 2024. The restaurant, which opened in 1977, filed for bankruptcy in 2020 and was purchased by a private equity firm that same year.
A spin-off concept, Trudy's Del Mar, opened on South Congress in 2021 but later closed in 2023.
"While this chapter closes, Trudy's Tex-Mex continues forward, and we're excited for what's to come," staff said in a statement on social media.
Community Impact was unable to reach a Trudy's representative for further comment as of press time.
Trudy's offered Tex-Mex items, such as enchiladas and burritos, as well as cocktails.
