After 15 years of roasting coffee and over a year of serving it to the community in Cherrywood, Progress Coffee + Beer staff closed their downtown location late June.

The details

The local coffee roasting company was founded by Joshua Bingaman and is co-owned by James Benson and Scott Withers. Coffee beans are still available online and the coffee bar location in Buda is still open. Progress Coffee is also now served at the recently opened Cabana Club.

In an Instagram post, Progress Coffee staff noted that the location’s closure is due to the I-35 expansion, but will be seeking a new location.

“It is tough because we feel like we never really got the chance to get going in this space,” the post read.
