Other Racquet Social Club began providing traditional country club amenities paired with pickleball exclusively for members in East Austin in September. On Jan. 28, the club will become open to the public for pickleball, drinks and food going forward.
The details
Club officials invite the public to attend the free public grand opening party from 2-10 p.m.
"We'll have open play all day on our courts," officials posted on social media. "We'll also have the NFL Playoffs on the 11-foot LED wall, and a full lineup of live music from Taylor Alexander, Zach Carney and the Nick Swift Band."
Complimentary drinks and oysters from Austin Oyster Company will be offered, in addition to Other Racquet Social Club swag giveaways.
Food trucks B. Cooper BBQ, NADC Burger and Shawarma Point will also be on-site for purchases.
Going forward
The club's three tournament-regulation-sized pickleball courts will be available to reserve for $40 per hour, up to 24 hours in advance, for anyone who wishes to play; however, officials said founding members will be given priority access.
Other Racquet Social Club offers amenities, such as full-service cabanas, clubhouse facilities, a member lounge with an honor bar and a private members’ dining room for special events.
