Information regarding the effects of severe weather March 21 continues to roll in as local entities complete assessments and analyses.

Connie Odom, a Williamson County public information officer, said in an email the county received 30 emergency medical services calls from 5:30-9 p.m. on March 21, a 130% increase over the same time period the previous day, when the county received 13 calls.

Nicholas Olivier, public information specialist for the Round Rock Police Department, said the department recorded only one vehicle accident attributed to the storm when an 18-wheeler rolled over on SH 45. The accident caused no major injuries, Olivier said, and most of the vehicle damage that occurred during the storm was to parked vehicles.

Resources from electricity provider Oncor indicate that as of 5:01 p.m. on March 24, Round Rock was experiencing six outages affecting a total of 170 customers, though Oncor could not confirm that the outages were weather-related.

Odom said the county expects to share damage assessments March 25 that will include a count of businesses and households affected.
