Many local projects are moving forward.

In Round Rock, RM 620 and FM 3406 are the major projects, and the Kenney Fort Boulevard extension will be built sooner than expected when Kalahari starts construction this year.

In Pflugerville, downtown development talks May 23 featured a suggestion by City Manager Brandon Wade to make West Pecan Street one-way eastbound and extend Main Street to the east, having it tie back to West Pecan near the First United Methodist Church and turn it into a one-way westbound street. With Pecan and Weiss Lane work in full swing, Pflugerville has plenty of ongoing roadwork.

In Hutto, Williamson County hosted a Corridor A-1 open house on June 6. The project is from SH 130 to FM 3349. It's one of several road projects being considered by the county.

The county seeks comments about the project. The email address for comments [email protected] or call 512-943-1195. A survey also is available at
