Pflugerville will host small business owners and entrepreneurs from across the greater Austin area at the Governor's Small Business Forum on Nov. 14.

The forum aims to provide advice, resources and best practices to small business owners on "how to start, operate, grow and sustain their businesses," according to an Oct. 31 news release.

The Courtyard Marriott Pflugerville, located at 16100 Impact Way, will serve as the venue for the event. The forum is co-hosted by the Office of the Texas Governor, Texas Workforce Commission and the Pflugerville Community Development Corp.

In addition to giving advice to public and private small businesses, the forum also allows for networking opportunities between entrepreneurs in the Central Texas region, alongside local, regional, state and federal agencies, according to the release.

"It’s no surprise that Texas is ranked as the Best State to Start a Business," said Governor Greg Abbott, in the release. "Small business owners truly are the backbone of our economy. And I am committed to working alongside all of our entrepreneurs and small business owners to ensure they have the knowledge and tools needed to succeed. Working together, we will continue to create more jobs and further strengthen our economy."
