Several new businesses are now open or will open soon in Pflugerville, including an independent book shop and a climbing center.


The Book Burrow opened a brick-and-mortar space July 12 at 2401 W. Pecan St., Ste. 102, Pflugerville. Owner Kelsey Black said the shop sells children’s, young adult and adult books in all genres. Breath of Life Massage opened May 1 at 305 N. Heatherwilde Blvd., Pflugerville. Owner Brenda Gomez said her massage therapy office specializes in postoperative care. The clinic has two licensed massage therapists who offer different modalities. 512-798-3221.


Action Behavior Centers will open a 10,000-square-foot location in late 2022-early 2023 at 1601 E. Pflugerville Parkway, Bldg. 3, Pflugerville. ABC specializes in helping children on the autism spectrum with speech, behavior, life skills and social interaction using applied behavior analysis therapy. The center provides services to children ages 18 months-14 years.

A new Austin Diagnostic Clinic will open in January at 1512 Stone Hill Drive, Ste. 100, Pflugerville. The clinic will offer family medicine and pediatric care. ADC has locations throughout Central Texas, and the Stone Hill clinic will be the first in Pflugerville.

After facing setbacks with a planned third location in Round Rock, Austin-based climbing gym and fitness center Crux Climbing Center announced in July the business will instead open in Pflugerville. The new location is expected to open sometime in 2023. The 30,000-square-foot facility will be located at Heatherwilde Boulevard and Kingston Lacy Boulevard, but a specific address is not yet listed.
