For residents looking to keep tabs on the city of Pflugerville’s budget process, officials will begin hosting workshops for the Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget this month.

Pflugerville City Council has until mid-September to pass a budget for the next fiscal year. However, city leaders and staff will begin meeting this month to shape Pflugerville’s future spending plans.

Several upcoming dates for council to discuss budget-related topics include:
  • June 24: Budget workshop at City Council work session
  • July 8: Budget workshop at City Council work session
  • Aug. 12: Proposed budget presentation to City Council
  • Aug. 26: City Council work session for budget questions; public hearing on budget at regular meeting
  • Sept. 9: Public hearing on tax rate and planning fees; adoption of budget and tax rate

Last September, City Council approved the $857 million budget for FY 2024-25 , with over $340 million allocated for general government capital projects. The city also adopted an increased property tax rate, raising it from $0.5362 per $100 home valuation to $0.5428 in FY 2024-25.
