Pflugerville ISD Superintendent Doug Killian named lone finalist in Cy-Fair ISD superintendent search
The Cy-Fair ISD board of trustees named a lone finalist in the superintendent search process, Doug Killian, during the Nov. 13 board meeting. Killian has served as superintendent of Pflugerville ISD, an Austin-area district of about 25,000 students, since 2017.
The details
Killian will replace retiring Superintendent Mark Henry, who held the post for 12 years. Henry’s retirement is effective this December, he announced in a May 8 message to the community.

Pflugerville ISD will soon begin the search for a new superintendent after Superintendent Doug Killian was selected as the lone finalist in Cy-Fair ISD's superintendent search.
What's happening?
Killian was named as the lone finalist in Cy-Fair ISD's search for a new superintendent. Pending a mandatory 21-day waiting period and a vote on his hiring by the school board, he said he expects to join the district sometime in early 2024 in a letter shared with district staff Nov. 13.
