Following action by Hutto City Council, a parcel of land near FM 1660 and Chandler Road known as the Lidell-Walker Tracts is now fully annexed and has a development agreement in place.

At its Oct. 7 meeting, council approved the annexation of the 263-acre parcel on the second of two required readings, then approved a development agreement with the developer, WMV North Hutto.

WMV North Hutto plans to build a residential subdivision on the land containing approximately 1,123 single-family homes as well as community amenities.

The land still needs to be zoned for single-family use before construction can begin, a process that will take place at a future council meeting.
