Citywide the months of inventory is still on a decline in the metro’s tight real estate market. Months of inventory is the amount of time it would take for all homes on the market to sell if no new homes came online.

In May, the city of Austin had 1.7 months of inventory. A healthy market typically has 6 months of stock, according to the Texas A&M Real Estate Center.
