As April turns to May, here are a variety of events for Northwest Austin residents to enjoy, including Cinco de Mayo and Mother's Day celebrations.

April 29-May 31: Enjoy Barks for Beers

Barks for Beers, an annual fundraiser hosted by Divine Canines, invites residents to enjoy taps from 30 craft breweries throughout the Austin area. For $30, the Pawsport guarantees participants one pour at each participating brewery. The fundraiser supports Divine Canines’ mission of having free therapy dogs visit older adults and hospital patients. Business hours vary by brewery. April 29-May 01: See the latest styles

As part of Austin Fashion Week at The Domain, the North Austin shopping destination will host three days of runway shows, pop-up events and a VIP lounge. April 29: Smash your opponents

April 30: Cheer on Austin FC

May 7: Celebrate Cinco de Mayo

The annual Cinco de Mayo celebration at Fiesta Gardens in East Austin aims to preserve Hispanic culture and tradition. May 7: Take a train ride
