More than 50 arts and crafts vendors are participating in the inaugural
Rock Rose Arts Festival on July 9.
The event is from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. in the new Rock Rose district of Domain Northside at 11420 Rock Rose Ave., Austin. Parking and entry are free.
“As the Domain Northside continues to grow as a destination, we wanted an opportunity to open up the main thoroughfare on Rock Rose Avenue for guests to experience a day of family-friendly fun while trying a variety of the offerings in the area with food and drink specials, and the ability to support local artisans,” said Matt Luckie, a partner with FBR Management, which represents festivals, bars and restaurants in Austin.
Items for sale include stone drink coasters and cutting boards from Exit82 Art, handmade soap by The Soap Lady, lamps made from recycled products by Jays Industrial Lamps and handcrafted wooden watches from Mistura Timepieces.
Food and drink are also available to purchase. Food trucks will include Burro Cheese Kitchen and Acai Hut.
Rock Rose restaurants and bars include Apanas Coffee & Beer, The Dogwood, Jack & Ginger’s, Jinya Ramen Bar, Kung Fu Saloon, Lavaca Street Bar, MAD Greens, MIA Italian Tapas, St. Genevieve, Tarka Indian Kitchen and Thai Kun.
