Fogo de Chão will soon be opening its doors in The Woodlands. The restaurant is a leading Brazilian steakhouse that specializes in fire roasting meats while using southern Brazilian cooking techniques,
The restaurant is set to open its second Houston-area location by the end of the year in Restaurant Row in Hughes Landing.
Larry Johnson, chief executive officer of Fogo de Chão said The Woodlands location was chosen due to a demand for the restaurant in the area.
“Guests have expressed interest in seeing us open a location in The Woodlands for quite some time,” Johnson said. “The Woodlands is home to a thriving culinary community and is a premier destination in Texas; we are excited to be bringing the tradition and culture of the gaucho way of life to our second Houston-area location.”
Paul Layne, executive vice president of master planned communities for The Howard Hughes Corporation said the new restaurant will be a beneficial addition to Restaurant Row.
“We’re delighted to have a high-quality Brazilian steakhouse in The Woodlands,” Layne said. “It’s going to add a different appeal for restaurants and a new customer base.”
Layne said customers will be able to sit inside or outside on the patio while overlooking Lake Woodlands. This fall bands will perform live music along Restaurant Row’s boardwalk as part of the district’s Rock the Row series.
Fogo de Chão’s menu items consist of a wide variety of simple seasoned meats, some of which include picanha sirloin, filet mignon, rib eye and lamb chops. Market Table, a salad bar, is also available and features seasonal salads, vegetables, soup and a charcuterie area.
Layne said restaurants like Fogo de Chão in Hughes Landing will further add to the dynamic of the development.
