1. Franz Road extension

Plans for the second phase of construction to connect Franz Road from Cane Island Parkway to Bartlett Road will be announced in September. The first phase of construction connected Franz Road from Avenue D to Cane Island Parkway. When complete, the road will have two 12-foot-wide lanes in each direction and a center median. 2.  Cane Island Parkway overpass

Construction continues on the Cane Island Parkway overpass at I-10. This is the second phase of construction on the project. The first phase created the parkway from Morton Road to Hwy. 90 and was completed in November 2014. The Texas Department of Transportation is managing the overpass construction. Timeline: July 2014-October 2015 Cost: $10.74 million Funding sources: TxDOT

3. FM 1093 widening

After a series of delays, utilities will be moved to accommodate construction on FM 1093. Upon completion, a four-mile stretch of FM 1093 from the Grand Parkway to Spring Green Boulevard will be widened, and two frontage roads will extend to Fulshear. Timeline: late 2015-2017 (estimated) Cost: $138.4 million Funding sources: TxDOT, Fort Bend County
