Outdoors retailer Gander Mountain is coming to Frisco.

The company announced it will build a 60,100-square-foot store near the northwest corner of Eldorado Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway, in the Eldorado Marketplace shopping center just north of Market Street.

"We're elated Gander Mountain is adding Frisco to its budding list of future store locations," said Mayor Maher Maso in a news release. "As one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, a growing company like Gander Mountain is a great fit for Frisco. We look forward to working with Gander Mountain and its team."

The store, set to open in the fall, will carry selections of new and used firearms, gear and accessories for hunting, fishing, camping, boating and archery as well as men's and women's clothing and footwear.

"We appreciate the warm welcome we have received from the people in Frisco and look forward to the grand opening of our most recent Texas store in the fall," said Eric Jacobsen, Gander Mountain's executive vice president and director of real estate.

City of Frisco officials said Gander Mountain has not yet submitted any formal plans.
