Red Poppy Festival

Celebrate the red wildflowers that have covered the Georgetown area for more than 70 years. This is the 16th year for the three-day festival. There are concerts as well as arts and crafts booths each day. On Saturday visitors enjoy a street dance and a parade.

Memorial Day Ceremony

Sun City honors the memory of service members at its annual event. Music is provided by the 36th Infantry Division Band of the Texas Army National Guard based at Camp Mabry. Falcon Flight, a Texas-based formation flying team, performs a flyover.

Georgetown Festival of the Arts

Georgetown Turkey Trot

The Georgetown Running Club and Sertoma Club host the annual Turkey Trot. Participants can choose either 1- or 5-mile courses. A Kids Fun Run is also available. Proceeds benefit Meals on Wheels and the Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department. Nonperishable food items are also collected for The Caring Place.
