Photo by Marie LeonardSince opening its doors last May, Salon Boutique has introduced the suite salon concept to the Northwest Houston area. Nearly 70 professional cosmetologists, massage therapists, nail technicians and estheticians work on-site at the salon—the first in the Houston area—inside Vintage Park.
Owners Edwin and Michele Rogers opened their first location 18 years ago in Dallas, and since then have opened 17 additional boutiques across the country. They plan to open two to four new spaces each year moving forward, Edwin said.
"The suite salon concept is really changing the industry," he said.
Salon Boutique provides the brick and mortar for the professionals, and each individual business owner has the opportunity to customize their space with custom furniture and dcor.
"People love it," Michele said. "They are really surprised when they walk in the door because they don't expect it to be as nice as it is."
Although each cosmetologist has their own clientele coming into Salon Boutique, general manager Hadley Kurtz can also pair walk-ins and new clients with stylists.
