In September, the city of San Marcos introduced an application for mobile devices that allows residents to connect with the city and report community issues. Residents have already used the device to report concerns such as high grass at city parks and a malfunctioning street light.

The app, SMTX Connect, is available for Apple, Android and Blackberry devices, and it can be accessed online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/smtxconnect, by texting 617-500-3111 or calling 888-491-3119.
