Another energy company is joining the migration to The Woodlands. Cadence Environmental Energy Inc. has announced its relocation to 8505 Technology Forest Blvd. James Armstrong, national director of sales for Cadence, said the company relocated to its new facility from The Galleria area about two weeks ago.
"The majority of our office [employees] live in The Woodlands, and with our current lease up, this allowed Cadence the opportunity to move our offices here. And with the Exxon headquarters move, this only seemed natural," Armstrong said.
Cadence's primary operation from its Woodlands office is serving as the primary hazardous waste material provider to Astro Concrte, a role which Cadence has served for the past 26 years.
"The process of making cement requires high temperatures, up to 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit" Armstrong said. "[Astro's] largest cost is energy requirements, usually natural gas or coal."
Armstrong said Cadence supplies Astro with alternative fuel "to save on some of that expense."
The company also operates in combustion technology and provides patent technology to various cement companies around the world, Armstrong said.
Cadence has an office of four employees at its Woodlands office, while its headquarters operate in Michigan City, Indiana. Armstrong said there are plans for future growth at The Woodlands office.
Bandier Realty Parnters represented Candence in the relocation of their office from The Galleria to The Woodlands.
