North Austin Trailer Yard will celebrate its grand opening Saturday, May 12, with live music, artists and vendors, and food and beverages from its six food trailers, as well as a special guest trailer.

The NATY is located at 1012 W. Anderson Lane, near the intersection of Lamar Boulevard where US 183 crosses over.

Starting at 1 p.m., the NATY will be officially open for business with sandwiches from Snarkys Moo Bawk Oink, Krak2 Gourmet Doughnuts, coffee and smothies from Genuine Joe's, Greek food from Big Fat Greek Gyros, hot dogs and shaved ice from The Dog Pound, Japanese-style noodles from Michi Ramen, and Hey Cupcake! is making a special appearance as well.

Some proceeds will go to Hospice Austin, an organization Snarkys co-owner Chuck Watkins is passionate about.

"I've been a volunteer for 10 years, they're such a great organization. Anything I do, I typically try to do in association with them," Watkins said.

There will be activities for children, with a permanent playground and a bounce house just for the grand opening. The event is expected to run until 9 p.m.
