Round Rock Garden Center grows support in Central Texas community

Murffy’s Nursery originally opened at the Old Town Round Rock location in 1972. Owners Jeff and Stephanie Ramert opened the Round Rock Garden Center at the site in 2002, featuring products like houseplants, garden vegetables, flowers, soils and outdoor decor.

Typhoon Texas in Pflugerville to hold in-person job fair for seasonal positions


Typhoon Texas in Pflugerville will host an in-person job fair for seasonal positions April 10 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Positions include food and beverage, front gate, in-park events, lifeguard and others, according to a press release. No appointment or preregistration is necessary.

Tiny Texans Soft Play, a children’s mobile play zone rental service, opened for business March 12. Tiny Texans offers soft play mobile rentals and play equipment for children up to age 4, including delivery, setup and take-down within a 20-mile radius of the 78626 ZIP code.

The Truth Family Fitness & Sports Performance opened March 22 at The Crossover in Cedar Park. The membership gym offers personal training, group training and group fitness classes. Discounted "founding member" pricing will be available for a limited time.

Southwest Austin

Now open in South Austin: Tiny Grocer, Word of Mouth Bakery, new Google Fiber retail location and more


Google Fiber moved its retail location from 201 Colorado St., Austin, to 701 S. Lamar Blvd., Austin, on March 15. The new store is open for limited hours Mon.-Sat. from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and customer occupancy limits are in place to ensure safety.


Northwest Austin

Concession vendors announced at Q2 Stadium for 2021 Austin FC season, including concept to highlight local minority-owned kitchens

While Austin FC’s first team squad will remain the primary draw to Q2 Stadium for the upcoming 2021 season, fans inside the stadium will also be able to enjoy a queso fountain.

The queso fountain, which Austin FC states will “provide a range of queso options”, was announced alongside more than a dozen locally based food and beverage vendors that can be found in Q2 Stadium this year.

San Marcos-Buda-Kyle

Suds Deluxe car wash to open two Hays County locations

Suds Deluxe plans to open a car wash at Kyle Town Center near I-35 and Kyle Crossing this fall. A second Hays County location is planned for San Marcos at the intersection of I-35 and Chisos Street and is expected to open in early 2022.
