The New Braunfels ISD board of trustees will host its monthly in-person board meeting Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. at 1000 N. Walnut Ave., New Braunfels.
The board will discuss the adoption of the fiscal year 2020-21 tax rate, calling a trustee election to be held on Nov. 3 and establishing a contract with Community Council of South Central Texas for a pre-K Head Start partnership.
Other notable items to be considered by the board include:
- the purchase of additional digital tablets to replace devices that were not returned or accounted for at the end of the 2019-20 school year;
- the sale of easement property to the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority; and
- an increase in the price of student and adult paid full price meals for 2020-21.
The Aug. 17 meeting will be the first in-person NBISD board meeting held since March.
