Porter High School’s fine arts, athletics and career and technical education programs will receive upgrades, which are currently being designed, according to a May 30 email from Scott Powers, NCISD’s executive director of public relations.

Architecture firm Arcadis was selected for the projects by NCISD’s board of trustees on May 19. Construction is slated to begin in 2027 for the $12.5 million fine arts and CTE updates.
Athletics updates will include a new covered multipurpose practice area and revamped baseball, softball and football/soccer fields. These projects are expected to be completed by the summer or fall of 2026.
