On June 8, Comal County reported four new cases of COVID-19, bringing the county total to 121.

Three of the new cases are New Braunfels residents in their thirties, forties and fifties and one northside Canyon Lake resident in their fifties. All four residents are in home isolation.

The county also reported three recoveries for a total of 97 recoveries. Two patients were discharged from the hospital with two remaining in the hospital.

Guadalupe County also reported three additional cases June 5, bringing the county total to 153.

The Comal County Office of Public Health reported that 3,668 coronavirus tests have been conducted, 1,435 of which were performed as part of the statewide testing of all nursing home staff and residents.


On June 8, several New Braunfels restaurants reported that they would be closing for cleaning and for employees to receive testing after some employees tested positive for the virus.
