Looking to get in the holiday spirit? From tree lights to crafts to shopping local vendors, here are 10 holiday-themed activities for residents of Leander, Liberty Hill and Cedar Park to attend in late November and early December.

Holiday Extravaganza

This family-friendly event hosted by Always Fun Markets will have Christmas carolers, live music, food vendors and a meet-and-greet with Santa.Tree Lighting & Santa's Wonderland

Cedar Park Parks and Recreation will light the Heritage Oak Tree for the holiday season with more than 50,000 lights. This year's event will also celebrate the city's 50th anniversary. Other activities will include a snow hill, giveaways, live music, food vendors, face painting and crafts.Old Town Christmas Festival

With the theme "A Classic Christmas," this year's festival will include the Old Town Rudolph Run 5K, a parade, school performances, a food court, vendors, games and the opportunity to meet Santa.Winter Wonderland Festival


Hosted by Mrs. Amy’s Adventures Preschool, children will have a chance to meet Santa, take a polar plunge, enjoy holiday music and enter raffles.Cocoa & Cookie Decorating

Participants are invited to enjoy a warm mug of cocoa, holiday carols and cookie decorating. Cookie decorating supplies are provided. All ages are welcome, and sign-up is required.Liberty Hill Christmas Festival

Hosted by the city, this event culminates in a Christmas parade down Main Street. Other activities include shopping from artisan and food vendors, enjoying live music, playing in snow, and visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus.Pancakes & PJs

The pajama party will include a hot breakfast, Christmas crafts and a visit from Santa. Preregistration is required, and nonparticipating family members are welcome at no charge.

Tis’ the Season Sugar Cookie Decorating Class
