WHAT WE REPORTED: The city of Leander is developing a Parks, Recreation and Open Space Comprehensive Plan. New parks projects are underway in both cities, including Lakewood Park in Leander and Lakeline Park in Cedar Park.

THE LATEST: Leander’s parks comprehensive plan will be debuted to City Council in March. The first phase of Lakewood Park could open in October, and construction on Leander’s senior activity center is expected to begin in the summer.

Lakeline Park, which will be Cedar Park’s largest park, will be under design in 2019.
