Cedar Park Police officers made 14 driving while intoxicated arrests during a recent Cedar Park Patrol initiative, the department reported Friday.

From June 24-July 5, the Cedar Park Police Department increased patrol presence on local roadways to  monitor for impaired driving violations  and discourage people from driving under the influence as part of the ongoing regional Selective Traffic Enforcement Program Initiative.

Along with the 14 DWI arrests made during that period, a Cedar Park Patrol STEP Unit made one DUI minor arrest.

The next Cedar Park Selective Traffic Enforcement Program Initiative will take place Aug. 18-Sept. 3.
