GRAPHS: Leander demographics and data


Leander was established in 1882, although it was officially incorporated in 1978. During the last six years, the city’s population has grown by over 90 percent.

If someone unfamiliar with Leander saw the “Leander race representation” chart, they may think, “Wow, that is the whitest town ever!” Do some more drill-down by ethnicity and you’ll see that Leander is host to a wonderful, thriving community of Latinos and Indian-Asians (such as people from Pakistan). Come on, Community Impact! You can do better with your info!

Marisa Charpentier
