‘Tick, Tick... Boom!’
TexARTS will present the musical “Tick, Tick... Boom!” through March 2. The autobiographical musical, created by Rent composer Jonathan Larson, chronicles a young composer’s journey to success in theater.

Great Decisions: America at a Global Crossroads
This discussion will be facilitated by Rodger Baker, executive director of the Stratfor Center for Applied Geopolitics. Great Decisions is a national program sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association, aiming to increase public involvement in foreign affairs. It was launched 50 years ago and thousands of participants attend discussion groups each year, with the Lake Travis Community Library now hosting their seventh year of participation in the program.

Elizabeth Kahura: Folktales from Africa
Kenyan-born storyteller Elizabeth Kahura will share African folktales and myths through music and games as well as riddles and jokes at the Lake Travis Community Library’s Lakeway location. All ages are welcome to attend.

Engage & Heal Foundation’s Out of the Woods Gala
The Engage & Heal foundation will celebrate its 5th anniversary with the Out of the Woods Gala–a formal dinner and program, featuring a silent auction, at the Lakeway Resort and Spa. Giving opportunities will be available, aiding the organization’s mission to provide mental health resources to the local community.

Rollingwood 5k and Kids Fun Run
The Rollingwood 5k, hosted by the Rollingwood Women’s Club, will begin and end at Rollingwood City Hall, with a Kids Fun Run taking place concurrently for children 9 and under. Registration will be open until the day of the event, and those registering before March 10 will receive a t-shirt. All proceeds will benefit the Rollingwood Women’s Club.

Eggstravaganza
Lakeway will hold its annual Easter celebration with egg hunts for all ages, food vendors, a petting zoo, face painting, bubble station, chalk art, and a host of other activities and vendors. Dance performances will also take place, presented by 620 Dance Centre.

A Night with the Austin Symphony Orchestra
The Austin Symphony Orchestra will collaborate with student musicians from Lake Travis High School to put on the fifth annual Night With The Austin Symphony Orchestra. Maestro Peter Bay will conduct the orchestra with participation by Anna Macias and Richard Hicks, directors of orchestras and bands for Lake Travis High School.

Lessons Learned from 100 Years of Investing
An educational luncheon will be hosted by Cedarwood Financial Partners at Café Blue in the Hill Country Galleria. Participants will learn about the history of investing over the past 100 years, including discussions on how time can benefit investors, the value of diversification, and how to balance opportunity and risk.

Book and Bees Festival
Bee Cave will host the Books and Bees festival for its 4th year, celebrating’ literature for all ages through learning opportunities featuring various authors, as well as providing education on the importance of bees. Lakeway Airpark Career Day
Lakeway Airpark will host an educational half-day event featuring presentations and Q&A’s with professionals in the field of pilot training, mechanics, aviation and military. Being Kind to the Earth at Lake Travis Community Library
Reach for the Stars ATX will hold a free community event and workshop for Earth Day at Lake Travis Community Library. A special guest presentation will be shared by Lakeway MUD. Book readings and tips on water conservation and environmental care will be shared, and participants can also decorate reusable tote bags and practice seed-planting.

Lakeway Sings! Presents “Getting To Know You”
Lakeway Sings! will present its 24th annual spring show at the Lakeway Activity Center. Show producer Ann Smith describes the show as a “light-hearted look at the ins and outs of finding new friends after you relocate to a new environment.” Doors open at 6 p.m and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m, after which the show will begin. Guests are invited to bring their own drinks, and tables of 8-10 are available.
