As the COVID-19 pandemic hit the Austin area, Iron Wolf Ranch and Distillery pivoted to produce hand sanitizer along with its handcrafted spirits.

In an effort to “protect their pack,” the Spicewood based distillery is offering hand sanitizer made from 80% alcohol antiseptic solution, according to co-founder Glenda Watters.

For each 8-ounce bottle purchased, one will be donated to an essential worker, Watters said. The distillery is assisting hospitals, elder care facilities, emergency medical services, police officers and firefighters, according to a May 11 announcment.

Individuals bottles are priced at $5.75; customers can also make a bulk purchase of 60 bottles for $270. Customers can call for fulfillment inquires, and purchases can be picked up at the distillery.

Iron Wolf is also calling upon the community to lend a hand in the process. Volunteers can sign up to bottle and label hand sanitizer orders through the Iron Wolf Pack Bottling Crew Facebook page.

As of May 1, the business has opened its outdoor area to the public with limited capacity: Fri. 4-7 p.m., Sat. noon-8 p.m.
