Bee Cave City Council on April 10 discussed the opportunity for residents to serve on the city’s planning and zoning commission. Four of the seven positions have terms that expire June 1, according to council records.

According to the city website, the commission is a recommending body to City Council on planning issues, including zoning, platting, site plan review, sign variance applications, ordinance amendments and related matters.

Members also provide guidance on responsible land use development through adherence to the city’s comprehensive plan and administration of local regulations.

Those interested in applying can submit applications by May 18 by 5 p.m. Appointments will be made at council’s regular meeting May 22, according to Council Member Monty Parker's community Facebook page, "Monty's Bee Cave Buzz."
