Christus Santa Rosa expanded to San Marcos in April after merging with a longtime San Marcos-based endoscopy center.

The Central Texas Ambulatory Endoscopy Center was rechristened as the Christus Santa Rosa Physicians Ambulatory Surgery Center–San Marcos, or CSR-PASC-SM, in May. The practice is located at 1305 Wonder World Drive, Ste. 105. The  facility provides endoscopic and gastrointestinal services in an ambulatory—or outpatient—setting.

Christus Santa Rosa, a San Antonio-based health care provider,  has owned and operated the Christus Santa Rosa Physicians Ambulatory Surgery Center New Braunfels since 2009.

Ken Haynes, president and CEO of Christus Santa Rosa, said the New Braunfels center has been serving patients along the I-35 corridor, including residents of the San Marcos area, since it opened.

“Going into San Marcos and working with those physicians really allows us to do what we like to do best, which is keep care closer to home,” he said.

The CSR-PASC-SM will continue employing the six board-certified physicians who previously practiced at the Central Texas Ambulatory Endoscopy Center, including Drs. John Cluely, Edward F. Coles, W. Kern Deschner, Thomas Kepczyk, Shannon J. Marek and Carlos A. Neghme.
