Expansions or renovations are planned or in progress at three Austin Regional Clinic locations in South and Southwest Austin.
ARC South 1st Specialty, at 3816 S. First St., is undergoing remodeling for dermatology services and another specialty. The second specialty has yet to be determined, Clinical Operations Director Evelyn Carter said. The remodeling is scheduled to be complete in September.
ARC Southwest, which already has a dermatologist, is planning to expand its dermatology area to add an additional procedure room and a new checkout area in August, Carter said.
ARC Southwest will also have a new family practice physician and new internal medicine physician in September.
ARC South, at 3828 S. First St., added new providers to its Extensivist Medicine Department this year, Carter said.
Carter said ARC as a whole serves 400,000 Central Texans, and the Southwest Austin market is one of ARC’s fastest-growing sectors. To meet the demand, its Southwest clinic, located at 1807 W. Slaughter Lane, added evening and weekend hours two years ago.
